We finally arrived about 5 hours late and Adrian was there to meet us at 10 rather than 5pm.  The traffic on the freeways was hectic - we drove on the widest freeway in the world - 26 lanes and the speed!

Sonya, Maddie and Tess were at home to meet us and it was so good to see them again.  When I say home, I mean a furnished apartment - they literally moved out of their house the day before we arrived and will move into their brand new home in about 6 weeks.  Timing is everything -  but their graciousness and kindness is much appreciated.  And yes it is warm and humid.

Day two took us to see their new home - in the final stages of construction - and what a home - I will leave the details for their story - I am looking at you Darcy Purdy - author in training!  Suffice to say the view over the water is sublime and the house will host us for many years to a come.

We left Houston with Adrian, Tess and Zach and flew to Savannah - a lot cooler and totally wonderful.

We had dinner at a Mexican themed restaurant with guacamole prepared at the table. It was warm enough to sit outside and watch the night life around us.  Vibrant and fun.

Dinner, guacamole and the ubiquitous yellow school bus.
